Why am I doing this work:
I am a very compassionate person and felt drawn towards the helping profession. Mental health is so essential to our overall wellness and I believe everyone should have a healthy relationship with food and their body. It feels like a privilege to walk hand in hand with someone through their therapy process where someone shows you the most vulnerable parts of themselves. I am excited to get up and to do the work I do every day to see people make change that positively impacts their life.
One more fun fact:
I am an ordained minister. I became a minister during COVID so I could officiate my sister’s wedding.
Hi I'm Bree,
a provisionally licensed professional counselor in the state of Missouri who has previous experience working with adults and children struggling with eating disorders. Bree values individual, group, and family therapy to assist individuals by helping them focus on total health and wellness in recovery from eating disorders and related conditions. She utilizes a person-centered approach and incorporates additional therapeutic modalities such as dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and family-based therapy based on her client’s needs.

Why am I doing this work:
I became a therapist to help others gain a better understanding of themselves throughout life and to provide tools and education to help empower people to change. I strongly believe that therapy can be beneficial for anyone and the therapeutic relationship is very important. I am an empathic individual with patience and a non-judgmental attitude that tends to make others feel safe. I hope to continue to grow as a therapist and advocate for those struggling with eating disorders and beliefs tied to diet culture.
One more fun fact:
I have a 2 yr old Bernedoodle named Mavis that gets to come to work with me!
